The library provides expert guidance and training to Cabrini Health staff and accredited health professionals.

Cabrini Library supports our staff to learn life-long learning skills that can be applied to research projects, improvement projects, ongoing study, hospital accreditation and professional development.

 

Online Training Sessions

  • Attend an online library session to gain insight on evidence-based practice, literature searching, research skills and more. 

  • These sessions give you the opportunity to ask questions specific to your learning needs.

  • Webinars are held regularly on a range of topics.

 

Searching the Medical Literature

Learn how to find quality information on your topic.

This session covers :

  • Formulating a clinical scenario into a search question
  • Using the PICO framework to construct a search strategy
  • How to use a combination of keywords and MESH terms
  • Database searching using OVID Medline
 
Date: Tuesday 23rd of April
Time : 12-30pm – 1.15pm (30 minutes teaching + extra time for staff wishing to stay on to discuss specific search questions)
