Free Author Publishing in Springer

The library has secured a transformative agreement as part of our current Springer subscription.

Transformative agreements are negotiated between libraries and publishers to reduce article processing charges (APCs) for Open Access publishing.

Congratulations to Samantha Loh and her colleagues from the Cabrini Pharmacy Department, who successfully utilized this agreement to waive the usual $6,000 APC fee and publish in a Springer journal at no cost.

Loh, S., Wijaya, K., Rogers, Met al. A clinical decision support tool for improving venous thromboembolism risk assessment and thromboprophylaxis prescribing compliance within an electronic medication management system: a retrospective observational study. Int J Clin Pharm (2025). https://doi.org/10.1007/s11096-024-01857-0

Please contact library@cabrini.com.au for a full list of Springer journals eligible in this agreement.

A limited number of APC's is available via a consortia deal.
